An Early Sunday Morning

On my way to work a couple of years ago I found this spot that, on the right morning at sunrise, offers some pretty spectacular views. I can’t tell you where this spot is because it has a fence that I have to climb over.  I figure I am doing no harm and the views are worth the consequences.  If you are reading this and your a law enforcement officer the first two sentences are not true, I am making this up to make my blog entry more dramatic. I have two pics in my picture gallery now from the previous trip and I wanted to see if I could get a couple of more. So a couple of Sundays ago I got my self up at about 4:30 had a quick breakfast and headed out the door. Drove 20 minutes to my “spot”, didn’t climb a fence, and set up for taking some pictures.

It was better than I remembered and the views did not disappoint.  I still struggle with the ability to see something amazing and transfer that to a picture. I’m always learning. Back to the morning, the sunrise started with the sun being about 2 times as big as I am used to seeing it at sunrise. It was also a bright pink as it rose through the low clouds and fog. I spent about an hour there as the sun came up and watched the fog get blown off of Pelican Lake and into the low river valley that I was watching over. I am glad I made an early morning of it and look forward to the next time.
