I went to my sisters last Saturday to hang out and enjoy Scott’s delicious ribs. Honestly the best ribs I’ve ever had. We had a lot of fun just relaxing by the pool while Sawyer splashed and played. Scott in addition to being an excellent rib cook finds time to train their two German Shepherds. He talked me into being the attack dummy for that afternoon’s training. It was a lot of fun. Have to admit I was a little nervous at first, but that quickly changed when I saw that Scott was in total control of the dog. It was neat to see that after the training was over, and Jazz had settled down, she didn’t seem any different around me at all. She definitely knows the difference between training and playing. I also finally got to meet the chicken that my sister named after me…..some people get bridges named after them but I get a chicken. It’s a start.
Sunday we headed back home with a stop at Bass Lake County Campground. They have a nice little sand beach there and a decent size campground. I have never heard of it before and apparently it is an OHV park. http://www.co.itasca.mn.us/Parks/parks.htm I will have to explore the park a little more and the beach will definitely be a stop on the hot summer days along our way home from Bemidji.
