Fishing Day! I’ve been thinking about this for awhile. It’s just fun to get out on the ocean or lake and do some fishing. Some friends of Bill’s parents were kind enough to let us use their boat. Thank you, whoever you are, because this was a fun day. First off, just sitting in a boat in Port Valdez is amazing. We did have a rainy day again but the mountains were visible all around us. Throw in some incredible fishing and it makes for an unforgettable event. You can see in the pictures that no, there isn’t anything wrong with us. It’s good luck to kiss your first fish. Seemed to work because the second fish and the third came right behind. At one point Bill’s dad, who’s name is also Bill (makes things confusing sometimes), was attempting to eat his sandwich for what seemed about an hour. He would just sit down and take a bite and we would get a strike. I honestly don’t think I can fish at home after this experience. So 24 Silvers & 4.5 hours later it was time to head home with our limits. I’m still shaking my head thinking about the experience. Wow. The crazy thing is that we still have 2 more days of fishing. I am not expecting the same results because I think we had a day that is out of the ordinary, but there is nothing wrong in hoping for another day just like this.
